Atlanta Chosen to Host 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials

USATF announced Monday that the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials will be held Feb. 29, 2020, in Atlanta, Ga.

Atlanta was one of four cities that bid to host the event. The others were Chattanooga, Tenn.; Austin, Texas; and Orlando, Fla. Chattanooga and Atlanta were both considered finalists to host.

The Atlanta Track Club is acting as the local organizing committee. All athletes who qualify for the event will receive travel stipends and hotel accommodations. That is part of an effort to expand the number of athletes who get support to take part in the event.
